Education & Advocacy/Mentorships

For over ten years, I've used filmmaking as a tool for empowerment, creative expression, and community building.

Some of the most powerful stories come from people who have never been told that their voice matters.

Throughout my career, I've worked alongside emerging storytellers, first-time filmmakers, refugee communities, queer creators, and women filmmakers, helping them transform personal experiences into compelling films. As a producer, mentor, and film consultant, I guide projects through every stage of development—from refining story ideas and shaping narratives to production planning, filming, editing, and audience engagement.

My approach combines technical training with creative collaboration. Rather than telling people what stories to tell, I help them discover the strongest way to tell their own. Whether supporting refugee youth creating their first short film, mentoring aspiring documentarians, or consulting on community-based storytelling projects, my goal is to build confidence, strengthen artistic vision, and create pathways for underrepresented voices to be seen and heard.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting countless projects, far too many to fully capture here.

The selection below represents some of the most impactful films and media projects I've helped bring to life. Created by queer, predominantly female, refugee, emerging, first-time filmmakers, these works reflect the power of storytelling when people are given the tools, support, and space to share their experiences on their own terms.

While my role has varied from producer and creative consultant to mentor and educator, the stories themselves belong to the filmmakers. Their vision, courage, and creativity are what make these projects meaningful, and it has been an honor to be part of their journey.
