Ode to Papash (2025)
This honors all the bunnies through Papash, who after a loving life, is now resting under a tree in City Heights. Film by Naedy Ramirez.
This project was made possible with support from SD Employ & Empower and the San Diego Public Library through the Workforce Development Initiative.
My role as a creative producer/film consultant:
Guided the filmmaker throughout the development process, helping refine the story's direction, clarify creative goals, and strengthen the project's overall vision.
Worked closely with the filmmaker to develop a practical and achievable production strategy, translating ideas into a clear plan for filming and completion.
Provided hands-on mentorship in production, including interview cinematography, lighting design, camera operation, and fundamental sound recording techniques, equipping the filmmaker with the tools and confidence to execute their vision.
Offered both creative and technical consultation following production, helping shape the narrative through editorial feedback and identifying opportunities to strengthen the film's storytelling and impact.
Served as an ongoing mentor throughout development, pre-production, production, and post-production, providing guidance, problem-solving support, and critical feedback at every stage of the filmmaking process.
Facilitated a public screening of the completed work at the Neil Morgan Auditorium, creating an opportunity for the filmmaker to share their story with a wider audience and celebrate the project's completion.
